Graduate Collection

My concept is about animal migration in the Anthropocene.

I'm looking into the point of view of animals while migrating and what slowing them down. Clearly, because of the pollutions happening globally.

My collection aims to remind us of the urgency to empathise with nature and to start seeing the world through the eyes of some incredible creatures we share this world with.

My collection was inspired by devastating disasters that some of us are not aware of.

This collection consists of 6 outfits inspired by animal migration  in the Anthropocene, experimenting with prints, textures and colours such as marbling, indigo dyeing and quilting.

My collection is about giving women choices and flexibility for modern women's wardrobes to suit their lifestyles and serve as a reminder of the beauty and fragility of our planet.

This is the inner piece of the 5th look in the collection. It's a seamless stretchy dress with a hoodie and thumbholes. This piece is called Indigo B named after a bird from Canada, Indigo Bunting.

The prints on this piece were inspired by oil spills above the Deepwater Horizon wellhead that happened on May 6, 2010. The texture and the organic shape of the quilting were inspired by the depth of deforestation and the astonishing shape of the coral reefs.
